ESCAPING TO THE LAKE

Travelling from Moscow to Lake Baikal, the artist makes an escape, during which she captures the process photographically on Polaroids. Along the way, she sends them to France, the place of her timely residence. In this way, an attempt is made to influence the native reality, into a new one. The images depict the licence plates of cars that the artist photographed for safety reasons while hitchhiking, as well as self-portraits, portraits of friends and their homes, the view from the windows of the cars, the road and the nature of Lake Baikal.
